He graduated from the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice (2001). A long-term assistant (2002-2015) at the Ophthalmology Clinic of the Independent Public Clinical Hospital (JU MC) in Katowice. His special area of interest and clinical activity is complex and modern treatment of vision disorders. Since 2014, he has been working at the Private Hospital of Weiss Clinics in Chorzów, performing laser correction of refractive errors and cataract surgeries, including the implantation of multifocal lenses (correction of presbyopia) and toric ones (correction of intercurrent astigmatism).

Doctor Łukasz Cwalina is an author and co-author of dozens of scientific papers and reports, mainly in the field of eye surgery and multifocal lenses. A participant of many, both national and international, symposia and conferences, a member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ESCRS), as well as the Polish Society of Ophthalmology (PSO).
