A specialist in orthopaedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system.

Since 2007, he has worked at the University Hospital of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation in Zakopane as a senior assistant; since 2008 – as an assistant at the Clinic of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at (JU MC) and at the Medical School for Foreigners (JU MC). He has also been cooperating with District Hospital in Zakopane since 2011. Krzysztof Łokas has been a doctor accredited by the Polish Athletic Association since 2010.

A participant of many international trainings and courses in the field of adult and pediatric orthopaedics as well as neurophysiology. A member of organising committees for four international conferences on spine surgery. He belongs to national scientific societies, including the Polish Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, as well as the Polish Society of Spine Surgery. An author and co-author of many scientific publications.

In 2015, a member of the medical mission for the Polish national team at the Summer Universiade in Gwangju, South Korea.

At the Medical Clinic Podhale, he specialises in orthopaedics, taking into account diseases of the spine and large joints:

  • Degenerative diseases of all spinal sections.
  • Minimally invasive treatment of spinal diseases: endoscopic discectomy, intervertebral disc annulo-and nucleoplasty, vertebroplasty, implantation of intervertebral spacers.
  • Diagnosis and treatment of cervical discopathy and cervical spinal stenosis.
  • Diagnosis and treatment of scoliosis.
  • Neoplastic diseases of the spine.
  • Tunnel syndromes of peripheral nerves: carpal tunnel syndrome, cubitan tunnel syndrome, tarsal tunnel syndrome.
  • Pain syndromes of the spine and sacroiliac joints using RF-thermolesion.
  • Blockades of the spine as well as the knee and hip joints (viscosupplementation).
  • Assessment of imaging examinations of locomotory organs: magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, X-Ray.
