After obtaining professional qualifications, she was a head of the Department of Clinical Physiology of the Medical University in Białystok, then – after winning individual stages of the competition procedure – she became the head of the Department and Clinic of Infectious Diseases and Hepatology of the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin, and from 2013 – the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice.

In her research and teaching activities, prof. Boroń-Kaczmarska was a promoter of 21 doctoral dissertations and supported the development of
10 doctors habilitated and three professors. She headed the specialization in the field of infectious diseases for 10 young doctors.

She has repeatedly reviewed scientific works in renowned world publications of medical journals. She has completed a number of training courses in the subject of liver diseases and AIDS diseases in leading research centers in Europe, in Germany, Great Britain, France and Sweden, among others. She Is an author and co-author of over 300 scientific publications and several chapters of textbooks or monographs. In 2017 the textbook “Infectious and parasitic diseases”, of which she was a principal co-editor, has been published. The dominant issue undertaken by scientific publications and textbooks include liver disease, infection, HIV and AIDS as well as infectious civilization threats.

Together with a group of the best specialists in the field of liver diseases founded the Polish Society of Hepatology. However, with the best in the field of public health – Polish Scientific Association “Civilization Threats and Public Health”. For your activity organizational and scientific societies has been awarded with honorary membership of the Polish Hepatological Society, Polish AIDS Scientific Society and the Polish Society of Epidemiologists and Infectious Diseases Doctors.

She is a laureate of numerous awards of the Minister of Health for the series scientific publications and for involvement in the issues of prevention and combating HIV infection and AIDS.
